In geometry we were learning trigonometry, in order for us to get really comfortable with the content we made a comic strip story that used three different trig problems. We got to choose the plot for the story line as well as the trig problems we used.
I chose to showcase this work sample since I have never shared a math project we have done. I really liked learning about trig, and I like how I wrote the story.
This project exhibits the information 21st century skill I used a platform (storyboardthat) which is not commonly used in our school. I also had to understand and apply the content I was learning in class to this storyline.
I hadn't learned trigonometry before and I slowly got comfortable with it as we took more notes and had more practice. I also had to figure out how exactly to word the problems for that they would make sense in order to include a math equation into the story.
I would have loved to be able to create an even more cohesive story that flawlessly allowed the integration of the trig equation.
