For this assignment we had to create an informational poster about our semester long junior project. We had to include our driving question, mentors, plan, and why it was important to us and then present this poster to the class.
This project addressed 21st century communication skills. This is because we had to communicate what our project’s purpose was on an infographic as well as to our peers when we presented.
I am proud of how the poster ended up looking and my presentation was very smooth. I am glad we got to plan what we wanted our project to look like before we put it in motion.
Normally we present information on something our teacher tells us to research but since this project is so specific to the individual we had to present something we were interested in and how we wanted to benefit the community. We had to answer questions about the integrity of our project and that made us more confident with communicating our ideas.
This project was difficult because we had to pick the project we wanted to take on. We had to determine whether or not it was rigorous enough to be successful and doable. The poster creating itself was relatively easy.
If I were to improve this project I would just like to add more information. I couldn’t have done this at the time as I hadn't started the project.
This relates to what I have learned because I have had to make informational presentations that I then presented to the class. I was able to use platforms I was previously comfortable with to make a poster for this project.
In the future I will be more comfortable presenting my own ideas to places such as a job or other places where I would have a leadership role. This helps with not only my creativity in creating an informational presentation but also my presentation skills.
